Trailer servicing and repairs

Regular trailer servicing is a must in order to keep your trailer roadworthy, increase its lifespan and importantly, for the safety of you, your horse and other road users. 

Servicing trailers is often overlooked as they don’t have engines. However, they do have moving parts which wear when used or can perish over a period of time. It is advised that you have your trailer serviced every year no matter how little it is used. If its used multiple times a week, its recommended it has a service every 6 months. 

At S & L Trailer Servicing we service all types of trailers from horse trailers, flatbed, box trailers up to 3500 kg gross weight.  We complete over 80 different checks which cover the braking system, which includes the coupling, cables & rods, and the brakes. It also covers the electrics, tyres and bearings. As part of our safety checks we also check all the panels, floors and ramps to ensure the integrity of the trailer is maintained.
